Resistance vs. Ego: An Electrical analogy of the most important human character

Chapter 1: Analogy Table
Electrical symbol and thier Human analogy has been listed in the table below:
(1) I (Current) => I (Information)
(2) V(Voltage) => K(Knowledge)
(3) R (Resistance - resists current flow) => E(Ego – resists flow of information)
(4) En(Energy – V*I) => U(Utilization of I for the betterment of self n society)

Chapter 2: Human analogy for the electrical components
In this chapter we discuss the characteristic of a few electrical components and compare it with the human ego using the analogy table discussed in chapter 1. In this chapter we discuss as to how each component behaves when placed directly across a voltage source. In real-life this voltage source can be any person who has immense knowledge in a certain area. So basically we here discuss how various human beings with varied levels of ego react to a knowledgeable person.

(i) Capacitors & Inductors: In theory, Inductors and Capacitors do not have ego. Which in other words mean, they do not resist to the flow of I (information). The process of accepting I stops only when they have knowledge (or V) comparable to the source. Such characteristics, helps them in building great amount of energy inside them. Though both can store a lot of energy in their life time, they can never aid the society by converting it into any other useful form. What use is electrical energy, when you cannot use it to help the society? There is a use. When a fully charged capacitor is connected across a load, it discharges the energy it has onto that load. This, in other words means that it starts imparting the knowledge it gained back to the society! This remains the only advantage of such components.
Example: Most professors who keep educating a lot of students in their life, but do not use this knowledge in their research, fall into this category.

(ii) Diode: Interesting component. A diode could be a highly egoistic or least egoistic component depending on its bias. In theory, while being forward biased it offers no resistance, hence accepts all the information. But, when reverse biased, it blocks the flow of I completely, unless the voltage of the knowledge source is too high to break its ego! Such egoistic diodes are of no or very less use to the society. Even while being forward biased, since they have no resistance, they act like a connecting wire which cannot store any energy in it. In real life they are useless, unless you want to block all the information coming towards you!
Example: People who think they know everything or at least think it is bad to accept that they do not know or understand things around them fit into this category

(iii) Resistor: Resistors are one of the most widely used components in any electrical circuit. They have just enough ego to block all the unwanted information and allow the wanted ones alone. Though a resistor cannot store energy like a capacitor or an inductor, it can always use the I(information). Any application where energy conversion is required a resistor is used. The light bulb we use or the water heaters that we use are all using resistors ability to convert the information into useful energy.
Example: People who has good listening ears and also a sound mind which can think and use the information that they have gained fit into this category.

So what are you? A diode, a Resistor or a Capacitor?

Very interesting concept. But you are forgetting one thing here, a person can be any of these depending on situations. I mean we can be resistors but do not have to remain that way throughout our lives. We could be diodes at some points and capacitors/inductors at other times. We are not bound to remain in any of the three states is what I meant to say. We possess a mind these electrical components do not possess which is capable of things we ourselves cant predict.

Interesting analogy. I guess a new field of study can emerge from this. Just like all the mechanical entities are transformed to electrical components for analysis in control systems, this may be a start to a new field of study to analyze human psychology by converting them into electrical components. 
It is a very interesting thought. Not because it just looks to be an awesome analogy, but because once you go through it again, it makes you think. Is the analogy true in all circumstances? The most interesting aspect to be debated is which one of the components would one like to identify oneself with. Some thought to it would bring out a realization that in human nature when we talk about ego (which is the resistance to information), it is not just dependant on the two variables V and I, which in this case is Knowledge and information. Every person has ego (resistance) which is offered at varied degrees depending on the circumstance. In your own analogy, when you say a resistance can be used to convert useful energy, especially when you mention heaters, it is interesting to note that to design a heater you need a very high resistance which is in your analogy a lot of ego. So it is a case where too much ego being helpful in some cause. So it indicates that some times being egoistic can benefit. It is just that the person needs to know how to use the ego in a beneficial way. It is not wrong to be egoistic, but a person needs to understand the situations and alter the ego as per that. Just like a source isn’t ideal, every V source has its own resistance. So every knowledgeable person has ego. If the internal resistance of this knowledgeable person is too high, then there is no harm in you having a high resistance. But if it is an ideal source, then it is foolishness to offer high resistance.
The point that I want to put across is, it is though feasible to a certain extent to put an analogy between human ego and the electrical resistance, unlike R, ego isn’t a linear behavior. It has a lot of other control variables.

thanks buddy!

@if_tomm_comes
I agree with U(surprised?). each one switches on n off their Ego and infact varies their ego level depending on the situation. So I guess a person’s ego @ an instance should be defined by a capacitor/inductor in series with a resistor and transistor. I think replacing a transistor with diode is a good idea in order to indicate that the person's ego can be switched on/off depending on various control variables.

@bakwaas_blogger
Thanks for the in depth analysis;). I liked the way U looked @ it.
But I think there is a slight confusion here. lemme try clearing it. The linear relation you are talking abt is between V & I right? But, V & I are not R’s control variable. Its R who defines V & I, not the other way around. Correct? So wat defines R? a lot of factors rite? the temperature, length of the condutor, crossection, resistivity n stuff(which certainly need not be linear). So as U said, thr cud b a certain number of control variables(infact more) that could define ego aswell. So can we safely assume both Resistance and Ego could be a decided by lot of variables which could turn out to be non-linear? Does tat sound good enuf?
looks like U hav indicated abt maximum power transfer theorem;). Yes I agree with U, ego is not a bad character, its very important char. Hence a person should have it in the rite amoun(in Ur case equal to the source resistance...good one dude...I liked it:)). it again proves the fact tat if V replace the resistor in the heater with a diode(infinite resistance)...it wont work!

Thinking of ways other components could be used. I just realized that the inductor when used in solenoid actually converts the electrical energy into mechanical energy which can be used to move shaft up/down(here is whr Mr.Faraday comes into picure). So those professors can actually be used huh(thanks to Mr. Faraday)?;-)

the analogy and further discussion seems to be interesting and thought provoking.As all of u well it is easier to convert a physical qty into electrical one ,porcess either analog/digital way and convert back into physical real wold.Accuracy of the result depands on one's capablity to convet phisical to electrical and vice versa.

Application max power transfer theorem, analogy of source and load resistace seems to be still interesting.This gives a good thought as how much a ego of the person can limit(comparing ego of the sorse,knowledge etc and ego of the receiver )and its limitaion on the the persons for the best energy trasfer.

Mr.faraday's anlogy on inductors and capacitors and the energy storing capacity is also interesting.But the fact is that 'I' and 'V'
folows the sqare law in energy storage.This mens knowledge and Information could dominate.Ofcource one must have either indctor or the capacitor to store the wisdom (the result).A better value/capacty will also enhace the storage the wisdom in person

Knowdge/wisdom in a person will enhance if it is given out which may not be true in Capasito/Inductor.This constriant will have to be considered while considering for simulation.In general the thoght given in the site seems to be interesting
