The curious fly...
Almost all of us go through a time in life when we don’t know what lies ahead. With darkness all around, infinite paths open, each one equally unknown than the other. There is a wait for that one person who could shine some light and show the way.
Not long ago, even I was stuck in such a dark time. In this depressing state of mind, my eyes desperately searched for some light. It took a while, but I did find a small ray of hope. The darkness and gloomy mood around me drove me slowly towards that hope.
There she was, lighting up her surroundings. I instantly realized she was the one, my guiding light. The closer I got to her the more she would impress me. I would chatter my problems all day and she would patiently listen without complaining. Her reply to my chattering was always silence, the kind which would absorb all my pain. I thanked god for this find, I was sure my dark days are over.
I guess I was so mesmerized by her that, I never got a chance to look around. But when I did, I found that there were several others who were using her warmth.
But surprisingly, everyone would maintain a certain distance from her. "No one bothers to return the care and comfort. Is everyone taking advantage of her? is it because nobody cares for her…or is it because she doesn’t need it?"
Needing the answers to all this, I decided to know more about her. As I moved towards her she would sway towards me, warning me on her way back “not any closer dear cos I fear I might loose you forever”. A part of me said “how much clearer does she have to be…keep off”. But there was this stronger part in me saying “Closer …closer. They always do this….they say something…but imply something else”.
One more step to take a closer look at her…to know her more…to know why no one really cared for this beautiful angel…TTTZZZZZTTTT!
I remember waking up to the bright morning sunshine. She was gone by then. Some say, she is no more and blame it on me for the loss. But some say, she comes here every night, giving us sufficient warmth and light.
